Me core :3

what is river
Its a pretty cool Wayland WM based on wlroots that's pretty minimalistic and written in Zig :3
are you on river with multi monitor or single monitor if you don't mind me asking
and if you're on multi monitor, how is river with that setup?
does it have different tagsets per monitor or a shared tagset?
i'm considering switching to river, but the only thing stopping me from doing that rn is that i don't know if i can get shared tagsets in river
Oh im only one monitor :o
Let me see if that's doccument anywhere in the River wiki or so :o
If i can find it ofc
yeaa i've been looking for that but i don't think i can find any mentions of it
the alternative would be to do it bspwm-style, where i could just swap around workspaces between monitors
so i can script it so that if the workspace doesn't exist on the focused monitor, it yoinks it from the other one
thank you!
river looks like such a good wm that i might just try it regardless at some point lol
Yep, after searching for some time im afraid i can't find anything abt this ;w;
I guess the best you can do is like,, ask about it in River's libera chat channel thingy :o
Hm hm :o
I wish River was more popular, its a really underrated wm imo, i rly like it :3
I love River but now im using DWL on my two main gentoo machines and River in the older one :3
Honestly i think ive found my fav WM
i used dwl at some point, but it doesn't have the equivalent of the floatpos patch for dwm yet
which makes it a pain to use non-terminal scratchpads, since i'd have to manually resize it
otherwise, excellent wm really
that and river looks the most appealing in wayland for me
Yeah, i love dwl but i feel like there's still alot of pacthes missing :<
Even then, atleast i dont use that many patches and the few ones i do use do just about what i need
Id use dwm but i just prefer using wayland over xorg
Oh yeah, i rly like dwl but River is by far still my fav wm
Even then, i prefer DWL's tiling system better than River's so im just using it for now
Maybe ill go back to River one day
i'm considering just learning more c so i can make the patches i need to use dwl if i have the time
maybe then i'll just switch over to dwl
i just need the floatpos and singletagset patches really
*singletagset patch that actually works, because the dwm one is kind of jank
Hi hallos tbh ima try installing river
