Anyways, https://packages.gentoo.org/packages/dev-lang/spidermonkey, it seems to be outdated

gotcha! 0:16.76 error: failed to run custom build command for proc-macro2 v1.0.74
<@&1223503067383730207>
Looks like it is component semver v1.0.16 which failed to compile with (signal: 11, SIGSEGV: invalid memory reference)
Did you run out of memory @fossil pelican ?
Good question, I will compile it using -j6
THanks!
If you haven't rebooted check whether there are any oom messages in dmesg
It still doesn't compile
Wait a sec
dmesg
"In Alpine, Use export RUSTFLAGS="-Ctarget-feature=-crt-static" fix it." I will try
It failed
You could try to switch to the dev-lang/rust ebuild and add a swapfile
https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Swap
I use rust-bin, so, I have to compile the rust source version?
Yes, if adding swap doesn't fix the issue, you could check if dev-lang/rust also segfaults by switching with eselect rust list.
