#RTX 3060 cannot suspend (possible fork bomb)
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I use systemd boot with openrc
I do not suspend then log into other OS. I always hard reset when changing OS to ensure nothing in my swap partition stays
I use cinnamon on both Debian and Gentoo
Correction; recently debian broke hibernation
Debian may have broke around these packages which is similar to gentoo's issues
I use sddm on gentoo and gdm on debian
I left sddm by itself to test, sddm can sleep, but not from cinnamon itself
.xinitrc has exec cinnamon-session
seems options nvidia-drm modeset=1 is in /etc/modprobe.d/nvidia.conf
I just added nvidia-drm as the wiki recomended it
Didn't fix
trying exec dbus-launch --exit-with-session cinnamon-session
Didn't work nor did function keys
Didn't fix
So you have a cinnamon bug most likely
Any bugs?
On Debian wayland can crash cinnamon, but wayland has no option for gentoo. I mainly want Gentoo able to sleep
Sorry, are there any existing, similar bugs?
Can we compare the debian package config to our USE
Not that I know of
Debian sleep may have only been affected by gentoo handling swap wrong or something
Sleep seems fixed on debian now, but not Gentoo
All I can think of is vulkan drivers updated again
Sorry if I do not have much to go on
I did not know if debian has a package config
Left on accident but rejoined
this is in /var/log/messages
grep 'CONFIG_DRM=' /usr/src/linux/.config
shows
CONFIG_DRM=y
@halcyon latch Any idea what could cause a fork bomb on my vram?
