I was following the handbook for amd64 install but accidentally forgot to install a package for wifi. I do not particularly want to start again due the (>10h compiling time). Is there any way to get a package for it onto the device, if so which package/how

I've not used wifi for my desktop in over 10 years, but I found using wpa_supplicant and just any dhcp client (I'm using udhcpc) is enough for everything

#

as I started using wifi in the last couple months

this ran successfully, but running nm returns ‘a.out’ no such file

#

both returned as not found, which is why i tried just nm

#

wgetpaste not found lmao

#

i’m convinced the system just… doesn’t exist

#

#

try the prev again?

#

still not found

#

equery

all you need to do is, chroot in, then emerge

#

failed to run command ‘/bin/bash’: No such file or directory

from:

chroot /mnt/gentoo /bin/bash

#

ran as root

#

wait i can send a screenshot now

#

oh umm whoops

#

me rushing 🔥

#

which is why this started

#

i should slow down

#

#

oh yeah ofc i have to do that again

#

i may have forgot i needed to do that again

#

yes i'm guessing??

#

#

so now i jsut need to get the pkgs?

#

#

its pinging

#

also isn't it better idea to run ping [site] -c 3 or ping [site] -c 5 etc. over jsut ping [site]

#

k

#

i'm aware

#

is that not better than having to terminate the command

#
