How do you know a profile upgrade was successful?

ik you can run eselect show profile and i followed the steps detailed at https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Project:Toolchain/23.0_update_instructions but im still unsure

if you switched and are able to emerge world without issues, you should be fine

i even had some issues when 23 profiles released because the openrc binpkg was for merged-usr only, while i was on split-usr

i symlinked the init binaries to their proper locations and migrated to merged-usr

uptime is like 9 hours lel

update things could possibly not gone worse

there are about 100 packages left which i werent rebuilt

and i have no idea which packages they are

i think i'll reinstall gentoo

it will be painful
