#Pipewire stuttering on first boot

For some reason, and only on first boot, Pipewire stutters after about 10 seconds of playing any audio. This stuttering goes on for about 5 seconds, then goes away. If I restart Pipewire and Wireplumber in the same session, no stuttering occurs. It doesn't seem to matter what the audio source is either.

Not an urgent issue, but it's definitely annoying.

I've already fiddled with quantums, clock rates, bit rates, autosuspend, and alsa period sizes

#

Might have just found the answer lol

Did this happen on plain alsa too??

Sadly audio is not my specialty :b

#

Took me 3 months to get working sound on my thinkpad lol

#

If this is pipewire alsa, maybe make sure alsa service is enabled

#

Looks like it was a config issue

#

I deleted all of my old user configs and started over, and the problem dissapeared

#

Still doing some testing though

And, I'm in the audio group, even though the gentoo wiki specifically warns against it

The war against unix groups is a war of disinformation
