I mean I didn’t play that far before the current season but for a mobile game the fact I can play 100% without paying or ads has me. It’s fun, it’s interesting and the new changes seem fine enough. There are some UI things I’d change and some more trophies but it’s all still really positive

Okay the advice I give everyone - find a large city, - for you London. Camp it, use the 30 minute or two hour photo unlimited plan up at the top and just spam planes to make your money.
Then you'll use that money to open up new airports, hunt planes for your trophies and such.

Well probably where you are physically. Most planes have a destination tag, - that will unlock that airport
So say you catch a Boeing 737 Max and it's going from Heathrow to Hamburg. You catch it and that will unlock Hamburg.
Now without a special ticket (they're like random rewards) you'll have to spend coins

Then you'll have to spend like 11 coins to go to Hamburg

Now a Blue Sky is another random award - but everyone can benefit it. You'll see them often in the big cities. The clouds part so all you have to do is catch perfectly and not worry about the clouds.
That and lots and lots of planes coming in means you can make all your coins back and more when you use the 30/2 hour unlimited photos

The airports will go grey to white to show unlocked.
If you go to settings - there's a statistics page and that shows you some info that you'll find helpful.

you can spend coins or a special item to temporarily move to an airport for 30 minutes. while youre there, there's a list of quests at the airport and if you complete all of them you can unlock it to travel there for free from now on

it defaults to where your gps is, but you can move around easier and most importantly, cheaper, once you start unlocking airports

Well sometimes it dies off but it's definitely one to count on. It took me a bit to realize, but there's some airport challenges - 6 things you need to do and it will unlock for so many days

Which then you can travel to it cheaper for free

So I keep one or two of those locked, London/LA/Seattle something like that and then have a special one I kind of work on to help me towards my trophies. So earlier this week I was hanging out in Hong Kong to get my Asia countries

And then I have my special interest planes I spend all my coins, unresponsibly, to hunt down

It was a good tutorial for economic management since you're so isolated from everyone

There's also a mod that allows you to recruit settlers every 6mths instead of 2yrs, and increases the settler count to 30/mth

That makes it much easier to boost your population since otherwise it takes ages given you start with barely 1k people

It was also a good colonization tutorial since you start with uninhabited lands in Greenland to expand into

I was able to push my population to about 40-50k before I expanded into Canada

Might be the house-relations thing, but it seems like when you die in CK3, and your heir takes over, not every absolutely hates you immediately. Others seem to generally be okay with you now, depending on if they liked your parent.

I've only skimmed the dev diary so I would recommended double checking this yourself, but it seems like every duchy will be it's own "market", and counties ill have new buildings to make trade goods. You use these trade goods as basically positive modifiers that will increase whatever benefit they give for example " port may produce more taxes if it is supplied with wood for its ships".

Only merchants(a type of unlanded ruler) can make trade routes to trade the trade goods on, but it seems everyone including landed rulers can use them?

It seems merchants also compete to become the landed ruler of their republic which is exciting.

I think everyone here who liked Roottrees will love this game. It's similar to Roottrees in figuring out the names and relationships of everybody, but it also involves translating things. Lot's of the words in the documents you're looking at are in a made up language, and you have to figure out what they mean to be able to place people.
