new 3ds xl, microSD issue notification

When starting up the new 3ds xl snes edition i bought, that was boxed and supposedly in near perfect condition. I keep getting this notification of "cannot display the software on the microSD card. The microSD card could not be accessed.", this message pops up even when i put a game cartridge in, and exit back to the home page.

What does this mean or imply? Did i get scammed and has it been tampered with at all? Preferably i dont want to open up the backplate and tinker with it, i just want to resolve this issue.

Did the sd card come with the 3ds?

and what size is it, and is it formatted using fat32?

Maybe check what microSD card you have

Youll unfortunately probably have to screw open the back once to access and (at best) replace the sd while ur at it.
The 3ds only came with just an 4gb sd card. Yours seems to be corrupted or maybe the contacs are dirty and it could not be read, either way youll need to look at it.

You should replace that sd card if you are opening it which youll most likely have to do anyways.

getting a new 32-128gb sd from SanDisk and reformatting the sd on a pc in less than 5 mins should fix the problem 99% of the time.

you will need a #0 Phillips (PH0) Screwdriver, they are 5$ or less. Unscrew the back plate, remove the sd and send us a foto - we can work from there

i get it, but youll have to unscrew the backplate at least once anyways if you are planning on modding it, and even if you arent, id very much suggest you buy a new SD Card since yours seems to have an issue, and its not worth to have a smaller worse sd in anyways - even if ur not planning on modding it

id advice you to

1. buy the #0 Phillips (PH0) screwdriver
2. a New Sd card. id advice 128 if u wanna mod it, 32 if u dont. but the choice is obv yours
