To me with my N3DSXL (basically new, lightly used), no, but someone else with a more used hinge might say differently. 🤷‍♂️

Ive been having mine since 2013 and was heavily used when it was first got. It is loose just like this, so I am assuming its normal

After sleeping on it, yeah, my gf’s o3dsxl is just as loose. Def normal. I’m sure mine will eventually get like that. 🤷‍♂️
