I recommend Dragon Quest VIII. I usually dont really like lengthy rpg games, but I am obsessed with it at the moment and it has good voice acting and story

Someone ported the 2014 version of Oneshot to the 3ds. It's available as a .CIA file on GitHub. It's a story game with a few puzzles, though the puzzles were intended to be completed on PC, so the answers are usually given to you.
