Modded 3ds sometimes turns on

My modded 3ds sometimes turns on but other times it shows a blue light and the 3d light but shows up as a dark screen, I tried turning the SD card into FAT32, I tried putting the clusters to 32, 64, 128. I can access luma and godmode and I've tried booting the 3ds from the boot.firm file, I also tried replacing the files for luma but it hasn't worked for me and yes I have tried removing the SD card and putting it back in.

maybe you can try a different one

the walmart 64gb usually work pretty okay for me, sometimes they do this to me and after i format it again and replace the files it works good

yeah that one is the same one that did that to me too.

i threw that one away tbh

But it looks exactly the same, I'd suggest a new SD card

Can you open luma then send a picture if the top and bottom screen

The screen is fully black but I can access the luma menu

Hold select while turning on your 3ds to access the rosalina menu

Do you frequently change the RTC? Like to speed up time in games?

When it doesn't turn on do you turn the 3ds off and on until it works or do you wait a long time for it to boot into the home menu.

i give the 3ds like 3 minutes to turn on then i turn it off and try again

Does it ever turn on during those 3 minutes

no it does it within 15 seconds if the 3ds manages to turn on properly

I'm not too sure what it is, it doesn't seem like an sd card issue since your 3ds is reading it fine in the luma menu

Next time it happens take out the game cartridge leave the 3ds on for about 15 minutes, see if it loads the home menu

Run hardware test, its the only thing I can think of that provides this much inconsistance

and youve tried waiting 15 minutes on the black screen?

this is really sounding like an RTC bug

i think the fact that ive used a software that gives 300 playcoins a few times might've had something to with this

it just booted on, i think it is a RTC bug

that can actually happen, playcoins can cause rtc bugs because the last playcoin you got contains an rtc

the black screen should stop happening now

No worries, if it happens again after messing around with playcoins then just wait 15 minutes or until it boots. RTC bugs are harmless, just time consuming.
