Basically, I had messed up the charging IC on mine, and used a TP4056 module to directly wire up to the battery terminal. However, last night, the device stopped working, and the battery had no voltage on it. It seemed like there’s a short circuit from my soldering(probably), so I tried to clean it up

In the end, there was still a 20 ohm resistance, which was low enough to be a short circuit I guess….

you measured with the tp4056 still attached?

#

i measure like 3.5 megaohms across the battery terminals on mine

#

hmm id take off the tp4056 and the usb c board and measure the 3ds again

#

see if the short is still there

even like this, there was only a 20 ohm resistance

#

I could cross check after my class is over

then something on the motherboard must be shorting
the bottom of the tp4056 or the usb c thingy

#

but if you take everything off and its still measuring a short then idk

yeah….
I have spares of the USB-C/TP4056

I even made sure I wrapped it in the Kapton tape before securing it to the board, so nothing should have shorted
