I have no idea what this is. Seems like a game cartridge extender, but googled and found nothing. Have no idea what kind of port ontop of it is and i think the port on the side of it is some kind of sd. not sure.

Can confirm. Its a cool little device but its fragile too.

#

So a Drop and or movement will break or stop it from working.

That little Port in the center was for connecting to the PC to upload more cheat codes to it. But you can manually punch in new ones if you don't see what ya looking for.

it also maybe can be used to save your 3DS if it is bricked, but idk the process to set up AR carts for it

also

#

it works on DS and DSi games running via cart on 3DS family systems

#

as for using it to recover from bricks on 3DS family systems, you flash it with special firmware to take advantage of a way Nintendo reinstalls and wipes the system firmware, which boots from a DS mode game cart

#

however flashing it only works on some models of the ARDS, and there's been reports of it not working on yellow label ARDSi carts

These are real I've seen them in person.

those are not the same thing

#

that's a game card save backup/restore thing

#

however due to save encryption, you can't actually access the contents of the save without homebrew
