so ive been experimenting in animal crossing by spawning more riskier things, like multiple town plazas etc and now my games data is corrupted and it wont let me delete it via settings. the game crashes when i press the home button too, i dont know what really else to say since its hard to explain, but please suggest ways i can get this problem to stop 😭 its a physical copy of animal crossing so if its unfixable its just toast, im really worried :')

i ended up uninstalling custom firmware
i was also able to fix animal crossing, but unfortunately i no longer have my progress

messing with a save editor is always a risk, making save backups with checkpoint is good practice
also did you actually remove cfw?
or just the homebrew applications

i removed cfw cus i eventually found out it was a problem with the cfw and i couldnt find anything online related to my problem

Removing cfw isn't a fix
It likely wasn't a problem with cfw and a less destructive fix could have been done if you asked in the proper places
You could have done cartinstall to make a new save on sd card, or used jksm to wipe the save
You always back up a working save with checkpoint before doing edits, so you can roll back to it if edits break it
Your plugin was likely causing it, not the cfw

as i said, it was a problem with cfw
the cfw titles were glitching, two of them didnt even show up as the apps they were in the 3ds menu and just showed up as black squares 🤷 and i dont even know how to explain one of the other things that happened

Lost app icons isn't a cfw problem, it is an sd data problem
Both of those look like sd data corruption
Which is fixable. Removing cfw can break things, or take away your tools to fix them
