Hi! My 3ds completely refuses to turn on at all unless it's plugged in. When I plug it in, it always boots to the Luma config menu. Weirdly, when I boot to the home menu, it doesn't show the battery is charging, but it does say that the battery is full...? also if I open up the Rosalina menu it says my battery is full and at 4.13 volts so the battery isn't empty, but the moment I unplug the poor thing it turns off immediately. What could this issue be? hopefully it's an easy fix...

I did leave it to charge overnight, hopefully I didn't overcharge it.
I don't even know how it's possible, the UI says the 3ds is charging but the charge light is not glowing at all

I have no clue as it's still the factory battery, and this 3ds is like at least 3-4 years old AND we bought it used
and as for the second one, of course, I already replaced the touch digitizer (it was hell but it was worth it)

I replaced it like... almost a year ago
except I plugged the cable in backwards so I thought it was broken and didn't touch my 3ds for a year
and recently I reversed the cable and it worked 🤣

idk if it was that weird clicking noise I heard when I put my 3ds on by bed
but it did that anyways because I couldn't tighten the circle pad's screws enough so if you push on the back case and press the L button it makes a loud clicking noise anyways

What happens when you try to turn it on while plugged in versus not? Can you send a video of you doing both so I can see what all the lights do. Also after you do that ill send you what I think it wrong.

I’m not 100% sure it’s the battery. But if it’s not that then I’d recommend replacing the console. I’ve never been able to successfully replace a mainboard without at least one part of the console not working after. And that’s in 8 years of tech repair.
