I just bought a new 3ds ll and i need to change the region. unfortunately everything is in japanese and im not sure if i can change the language without changing the region.
do i have to update the 3ds first before changing regions? whats the best guide to follow for region change and homebrewing?

it says ll, everything is in japanese and i got it from japan cuz its cheaper lol

Then it is actually not possible to change it into english unless you are going to hack the 3ds

Well your 3ds should atleast have a supported os version and also a os which is not custom
aslong as this criteria is fullfilled it should be fine and you're ready to go

You can just simply follow a tutorial on yt where they explain you how to homebrew exactly

Not sure abt that but i can tell you it bypasses for example game region locks
if you know what game region locks are
so i think it should be able to change regions
