My guess : there are clients, you click on them to get the command/"quest" (click on continue), you gather ingredients to make the dish (for example, tomato and lettuce to make salad), you come back to the client and click on them to finish the command
Do it for all clients that have a command (you can see them with an orange "!" above them)

I don't know how to pick ingredients, maybe down key or space bar but it did not work when I got the map (only once)

This event is a little different from the other luas. In it, we need to transport the ingredients to the customer, which requires time, because we are circulating around the map. If we choose to go to another room, the previous room will no longer be useful. The big challenge is that time is limited to deliver the ingredients to the NPC, which makes it difficult to complete even a single map

I don't think this is very sound logic, just because it hasn't existed for a long time doesn't negate the usefulness of tutorials in games.

Especially how buggy LUA events can get and how it's not fully fleshed out the first few days, sometimes the point of the map can get convoluted especially when there's multiple tasks to do to complete the event.

I think it would alleviate a lot of confusion if there were an extra few sentences more explaining the concept of the event.

So.. I have only 1 monitor and already with that you can have a better playing experience.
I put on the right side my TFM game (zoomed in) and on my left side the wiki page picture for the "Ingredients" you need (so i see both at the same time).

Lets say its day of the event map, where you need to cook food.
You collect 1 quest, go to the table with the "Ingredients" on it and stand there, you don't need to be close to the "Ingredients" to be able to pick them up.

I just stand on the table (but see them on my screen) and left click with my mouse to pick the Ingredients up and this way you can complete quests much faster.
(its even better if the npc/quest mouse is above the Ingredients kitchen which bellow)

And- you can collect quests while being under the npc mouse (use the trampoline chairs to be close enough to accept the quest without going up to the 2nd floor)

I'm not one of the farmers who finishes things in 2 days. That's not even the issue. And some people just like to finish the events fast so they can do other things or that's how they like to play and that's fine by me. But 2 weeks isn't enough if the theory (about the 100 dishes) going around is correct FOR CASUAL PLAYERS. It's not about people who speedrun here. And a hint doesn't stop people from having to figure it out if they really don't want to spoil it, (or atleast confirm we are on the right track). If you don't agree, that's your opinion. I also saw people being frustrated because they didn't know if they should still keep grinding for a reason or if it's for nothing. Hence, it would be nice to have more infos. That's all there is.

A couple of tips, you can click ingredients from any distance, as long as you can see them. You can collect and finish quests through the floor, so you never need to go up top.
