whats the difference between the chests you buy with gold tickets vs the red tickets?

the ones you buy with normal tickets are linked to the currently running event
so they cost 50 tickets and only contain past rewards from this event

Golden tickets allow you to buy chests for that event (50 golden tickets needed)
Red tickets allow you to buy GLOBAL chests (aka they have prizes from any of the past events which may be found in the current event chest or even prizes that are not found in any of the event specific chests) but it costs 5 red tickets to buy, and each red ticket is 50 golden tickets so... 250 golden ticket for 1 global chest is a rip off unless you already bought all other chests and don't have much further use of just golden tickets but still need event prizes. :P

In my case, I already bought all the event chests that have shown up in the past couple of years or more, so all I need are 2 different event chests for those prizes and others that are not found in any chests. I happen to have a lot of extra golden tickets that I had no use of and didn't mind not converting it for cheese coins so I'll go for red tickets now and global chests.

TLDR: Red tickets are a rip off unless you have no other use of golden tickets at all and don't mind wasting it on red tickets xD.

Maybe some day or if you finish up all the prizes from a current event chest but are receiving surpluss tickets (golden ticket limit is 500) and dont care to get cc for ur gold tickets then you can convert it into red ones (which is what I did).

I always kept my golden tickets high (in case a chest I need comes back) and just bought the red one when I was going to overflow)

Keep in mind I've tracked all the prizes I needed based on TFM Wiki, and am ONLY going for the global chest because I only need Wizarding and Hugging local event chests) -and have left 6 (+2 not in chest yet) titles from Global only chest. I finished off all other ones so I can go for the wasteful/pricey red tickets/global chest. Please don't spend ur golden tickets on red ones unless u have nothing else left to spend your extra golden tickets on. (Aka keep your golden tickets 400-450+ always in case future event chests come which you may need prizes in).
