meli uses adobe flash (now called animate) to create furs and items, and uses photoshop (likely a version of cs5) for things like badges and other art.
cant speak to this 100%, but in the base i use (which i like to think is pretty similar), the shadow is a pure black set to 40% opacity

Yeah Puffin uses a built in VPN, so it gives you a new IP every time you try to connect through that browser

Its very common to come across banned IPs there, log in through your normal browser and you’ll be fine

It's impossible (and quite frankly useless) to "hack" someone's account if you don't have access to their email, so you shouldn't worry.
