The normal version on steam was completely and utterly broken for a solid day, I don't know if it is still. Seeing as I haven't played the normal version since the glitch was boarderline unplayable.

Nothing would load. From assets(Object skins, furs, etc) to certain map objects, and badges/orbs. As well as entire mice at times.

A couple months ago I deleted the Transformice app and then a couple weeks later I downloaded it again from Steam. But for some reason the Transformice won’t open on my laptop anymore. I’ve tried deleting/reinstalling the TFM app through steam but nothing seems to work. My TFM hasn’t worked since March.
My MacBook is up to date with the latest software updates.

They are an Italian mod, so if there isnt many IT players on and theyre being spammed with other communities wanting them to handle ES or BR for example, then they may close their whispers. Its not just them doing this. I do it quite a lot as well when its overwhelming. If its a report, you can use /report. Impractical? If Tig started hardcoding the macguffin placement for every and each map in january 2020, and did 5000 maps daily, without skipping a single day, he'd do 1825000 maps anually, and would still be a fraction of the library today, I believe.

For the devteam this small, and game's map database this big, i don't see any mire viable solution than random placement

If the randomizer seed is solely based on map's code for example, or anything within that map that is equally constant, it would cause the macguffin to be spawned in same spot every time the map loads, im not sitting in the game's code tho so can't confirm

Funny thing about computers is that they can't really do truly random numbers, so RNG must be based on seed, if you base the RNG on something in motion like, say, system clock, then you should get something much closer to true RNG, but it is still easily crackable, thats why speedrunners of some games meddle with RNG manipulation in games

I am also not sitting in the game's code but I think there is a solution: If that item has a chance to spawn inside a ground, move it elsewhere, let's say 50 'pixels' away from the ground, then spawn it, there's no need to remove the random part, and I never saw presents and other items get spawned outside a map so there is a way of checking its position before spawning it.
