tyy both i wanted to keep the second version for the sole reason that's how the original art is (drew it facing right), the version i kept is actually the flipped one LOL

but i like the silhouette better

the shape is basically like this the way i have it, which is good for being in that specific corner of the profile

the image is a png but since tfm automatically encrusts it with the most severe JPEG artifacting ive ever seen, the transparency doesn't remain (if you try, it turns black) so the "transparent" effect comes from simply making the background the same color gradient as the profile
i posted the exact gradient i used for the background in fanart chat if anyone ever wants to try different shaped icons :]

i just use my art programs i bought to edit my icons ^^; but theres a lot of free sites you can use to edit photos like photopea

i do it manually on my own instead of using websites for editing because well idk i just prefer to i guess 😭 since ive been a digital artist so long

A very big thing at that; Discord in particular already had two separate breaches of information regarding the age verification laws, one of them back in October and another more recently. They said they do not store your age verification (government ID and/or facial scan) but.. they do, lol.
IN CONCEPT, age verification is good, we need to protect kids online, however this opens up many many gateways towards constant surveillance and never being able to be anonymous online. Double edged sword - this is good to weed out dangerous individuals, but on the other hand, puts innocents at risk.

The way it's being implemented everywhere is inherently concerning because you can tell it's not for the sake of the children first and foremost, which it should be. It's for the sake of surveillance and gathering information on individuals (most of which have not and will not do anything wrong).

I don't trust their "automatic age verification process" they were talking about in that one long ass tweet. And they're certainly not getting my face or ID after those breaches
