i posted on deviantart and lurked newgrounds cause i felt like i wasnt their target userbase 😭 but i would literally spend my entire days playing ngs flash games and watching animations.. ppl who like zach hadel and oneyplays because of smiling friends will NEVER understand me /lh

my most memorable flash game was 'wasted youth'. i played it when i was 10 and was def way too young but it was fun game. fuckass creator never made the second part so it ends on a cliffhanger..

a lot of peoples' entire careers wouldnt exist without Newgrounds and this goes doubly for the guys who made Friday Night Funkin, the english VA for Reigen Arataka from mp100, and the oneyplays gang (zach hadel + chris o'neill + their friends)

ive only just got back into drawing a few months ago and my drawings look like shit..but one day..

oldhead furry art style is soooo good i can never capture it like that.. it's like trying to draw in disney style, your brain has to be wired that way methinks

As long as you love your drawings and use references or YouTube videos for something you’re stuck on then you should be okay

oh yeah i do like my drawings unlike some artists. like as somebody who never drew that much, has horrible handwriting, has about 16 drawings total in the past few years its good. thats where my ego is

The first pieces of designated "furry" art were made dating all the way back to the mid 1970s :-)

which is when they started coining the term furry/furs and such and conventions started happening as people started getting more and more into it, early 2000s internet made it explode, but there was a very dedicated group of oldhead furs way before then ^_^

im not a furry myself i cant feasibly consider myself one because to me its a very dedicated lifestyle that is not for me but i loooove seeing greymuzzles out in the wild

they make me so happy

and the term for oldhead furries is so cute to me 😭

for me the distinction is the dedication to it
i draw furries occasionally and have some furry ocs but they arent my focus, they're always kinda on the backburner for me

"for some reason" theres a lot of reasons. also fursuits are. crazy heavy and sweaty and need literal fans inside of them to keep cool 😭

there was no smell tho

it was really fun though i mostly wandered artist's alley but went and saw some other stuff, there was a fursuit parade and block party, met some really cool people
