I once met one girl who maybe I can call it got some kind of "addicted". She used to farm all days and nights on cheese farms. She was joining the game at 12 o'clock saying she just woke up and then playing till 5-6 am. That was annoying but at once really sad. When she started technical school she stopped and now enters the game rarely. I also met many people on cheese farms where they were angry that someone had worse connection of Internet. One even started saying rude, worth a report, words on others and was always leaving the room after being annoyed. People even use hacks to be in the top. They don't care that they can lose their account or something, the only thing they see is the chance to be the best, even while using unfair methods. I'm mostly talking about hacks that are connected to high ping like between 600-1000 which is the best way to hide them perfectly. When I was younger I played a lot, sometimes even for 10-11 hours per day, but I had problems with other people and that was my way to not overthink. I still play quite a lot sometimes but not getting addicted or paying others.

I just honestly don't understand why the moderation/administration keeps ignoring good suggestions to make the game's environment better. Like I mentioned above, there's an user here who's created a cheat few years ago and this cheat dominated the game for years and still does. He's willing to implement a good barrier to prevent (most) issues related to cheating and the suggestion just got deleted. There's 1 developer and many things to address in the game especially new features being worked on and pushed for, everything is constantly a work in progress. I know it probably sounds a lot easier to patch in your POV but the reality is there's a lot we don't know or see, so it's too easy to assume that "nothing is being done".
