guys i have a theory, that there are many gamemodes devs tested but refused to release and i ll prove it with this really long message

First of all, all maps are categorized by a code to determine in wich rotation they should be ( vanilla -1, normal 0 and so on)
But if you look at the list of map categories on wiki you will see higher and higher code jumps at first from 11 to 13 missing 12 and then from 44 to 60

2 of the main gamemodes are racing and defilante, racing was released on 15 jan 2013 and defilante on 19 feb 2013, racing maps being in the rotation 17 and defi maps in 18 wich means they create the rotations in order.

looking at it maps from 23 to 44 seem to be most likely tests for the map crew but we also notice dual survivor shaman was released between them wich means they also most likely played with possible new gamemodes, and looking at the missing codes it might actually be a lot of them

Some are module specific, as far as I can remember, and there are categories the MC had to use because some maps didn't fit their specific category, they found those maps too easy (especially bootcamp). Most of these maps aren't in rotation nowadays and are only used in FC rooms or modules. Also, the MC uses some categories as their own markers not to P44.
My personal opinion? If it's not in the official rotation, it's probably a "trash category."

I am not a MC member, so what I just said is based on what I've read from them. As a side note, I'm testing the P23 category, which consists mostly of old bootcamp maps I used to play and love but seeing them now makes me think they were too easy/basic.
