no no i get it! i was just sharing my personal opinion regarding all volunteer work in general, not a hyper specific thing. everyone has different motivations to do things and, like i said, it's perfectly okay and human to want to feel seen and valued, so you're definitely not in the wrong to want some validation after pouring your heart and soul into something if anything, it shows you care about what you do, but you also need that validation to come from within as well, otherwise you'll easily burn yourself out
