Please remember to provide as much information as possible including all troubleshooting steps you have already taken. If this is a hardware issue, please provide clear in-focus images of the issue, PCB (circuit board), installation, and any soldering you have done. Help us help you, posts with insufficient information will be deleted
Because this post has the "Game Boy Advance" tag, we recommend checking out this wiki page https://gbwiki.org/en/consoles/advance

multimeter handy?
as noted elsewhere, your F1 fuse is missing. it was likely dislodged when you installed the switch.
you're gonna need a new fuse. without it, the GBA won't turn on at all.
Yes
I tested the switch, it buzzed so it has to be the fuse
well, it's a moot point, as the fuse F1 is missing.
Idk about the fuse, the fuse does seem to be there. I’m not sure what’s missing
What is it supposed to look like
Nah its gone. Probably wont find it either
the good news: they're plentiful and cheap.
the bad news: the shipping isn't.
slightly better news: if you order a bunch of them and some other random things like a capacitor kit, you an get a reduced shipping charge and have replacements for any future issues that come up later
Would something like this work?
Ok yeah it just has a different letter. I’ll try these ig
I’ll check it out
Bought 5 of them. They’re cheap anyway
you can also get them an aliexpress for like $1 per 10 pcs
https://aliexpress.com/item/1005010373569449.html
I also wouldn't recommend using those switch adapter boards. The PCB is fine, but the tiny switch will eventually fail, it's just not rated for this kind of use.
Still doesnt turn on
Get your multimeter and make a continuity test on these points
Most arent beeping
The two pins circled in pink DO beep but not when connected with c43
Orange circled doesnt work at all nor red
All right
Well you're gonna need to remove it - do you have a hot air station ?
No. Is the issue c43?
The Issue is that your installation is not aligned
Removing it will require some gear (hot air station) or good experience
I don't recommend you try the "hot air less" approach
Where are you located ?
US. Which part isnt aligned?
About all of the module
I would recommend you make a post in #1049401311101206649 to ask someone to do it for you
Share a link of this topic so they are filled in with what we know so far
It may be disappointing not to be able to finish it up yourself, but at this point I'm confident you would destroy the traces under the module
Not to mention this might no be the only issue, as there's some solder spill here and there
I double that, if even the red points don't beep, something went seriously wrong, and removing this power switch without hot air or hot plate is a recipe for disaster.
Can you post the link for that replacement switch? I'm curious to see how the pcb looks like
looks like one of these on amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DRBHTC2W
Basically inferrior clone of Helder's
I'm guilty of using them in the past, but the tiny replacement switch just isn't up for the job
These are better replacements.
Can also use a nds power switch, you have to remove the spring inside though
I dont understand what the issue is tbh
I’m aware that the switch works i just dont fully understand what went wrong
Oh! The power switch isnt alligned?
we can only guess at this point. I'm assuming that either the switch is misaligned, or it's not soldered correctly, but either way, there's no electrical contact in points where there must be contact
I have revised my judgement, it's not nicely aligned but it's not a mess either
Could you re-heat each of the 4 pads, adding some flux and a bit more solder ?
I also think that's the issue, the solder didn't reach the bottom because it requires more heat time, or the surface tension won't make it go down
No dice
Idk what the issue is since the switch beeps properly.
You don't happen to have some pictures of "before" the install, do you ?
