#What screen and rechargeable battery mod can I do with this shell?

Hello,

I'm just looking to not have to cut the shell, but I want an OLED screen or IPS screen upgrade, and a rechargeable battery upgrade. I really like these gem shells, and was hoping there was a combination that someone knows of that would work. I don't mind soldering, I just don't really have the tools to cut a shell up.

Just throwing this in but you can get for that amount of money a fpgbc that comes already with a ips screen and usb c battery

Yeah I just happen to have 2 GBC motherboards already that have been sitting in a box

looks like you can't have the cake and eat it too. If you want to use that shell with an IPS or OLED screen, cutting needs to happen. There is a drop-in replacement kit but the screen is smaller and I personally don't recommend it

Is there a "meta" kit for OLED screens that will also fit a battery mod? There's a few options out there I just don't know which mods I can combine.

it has been mentioned on several occasions that a battery mod is not needed and does not bring any benefits over rechargeable AA batteries

#

also the battery mod should not interfere with the IPS/OLED kits in terms of sharing space or anything

OK then ¯_(ツ)_/¯

you might want to check whether the shell is apt for the lipo mod, not only for the USB port hole, but also because some shells have the division for the batteries. Funnyplaying shells don't, but I am not sure whether the one you showed does

so likely I will end up using a funnyplaying shell and screen kit then
