#Pokemon Emerald GBA does not work.

Hello all! Sorry if I'm posting incorrectly, but I'm clueless and lost. I had this cartridge since release, but my baby cousin a long time ago sucked on it like a pacifier. And ever since it does not work at all. When put into a GBA it doesn't register that there is a cartridge installed at all. I have no idea if this is fixable. If someone could point me in the right direction you'd be a savior. Thank you so much!

All that I have ever done to it was open it up and try to clean it with a qtip and rubbing alcohol. Other than that, no soldering or anything. All original

There are a lot of suspect vias on this board. It’s going to need extensive repair or a board swap.

That’s at a minimum. There are more suspect ones but I can’t tell with the lighting.

What are the names of those parts ? I would like to look into how to repair or like you said a board swap. But just so I can build a lot more knowledge on it. I did notice a lot of those little golden nodes looked burnt out and no longer golden

They’re called vias. Essentially copper tunnels that connect those traces (lines) to the front side and back side of the board.
