I've been troubleshooting this on my own for weeks now, I cant figure out what the problem is. I've tried 2 separate bivert boards now and installed a clean power board, but saw no changes. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I will also mention I have tried several game carts which I have also tested on other devices so I know they work

Clean power boards are a scam

Good to know. I figured it could have been the capacitors on the power board so I decided to give it a try

#

Regardless this problem was happening even before I installed it

can you post some pictures of your board and the install?

of course, any specific areas I should focus on?

I noticed the speaker wire may be a little frayed

@limber trail any ideas my guy? I went and fixed the speaker wire, sounds better at least but the display is still washing out xD

Have you re-capped your lcd board yet?

just a side note, i noticed that the exposed part on the ground wire from the bivert pcb is really long, are you sure it doesn't short out to anything when assembled?

although I have tried connecting other display boards to it and had the same result

You're powering the backlight LED from the LCD board without re-capping it, Sounds like the culprit tbh. Those are what, 34-36years old?

I'd also put the original dc-dc back if you still have it. but that's me.
