This is half troubleshooting, half asking for recommendations.

I broke my GBA a while ago (screen issue) and I finally got around to fixing it. Now that I'm done, I noticed the speakers are next to non-existent.

Issue persists between batteries, games, but the audio is totally fine through the headphone jack, which is leading me to believe it's purely a speaker issue and not a sound card/dac/whatever it uses issue as I assume the circuitry between the speaker and headphone out is the same.

So basically what I need help with, is where do I go to get good audio. Can I just replace the speaker? What kind of speaker do I get? Do I get any sort of amp?

First clean power switch. Then if problem persists, replace caps. If the speaker is damaged in any way I’d replace that first.

I have a histroy of breaking stuff when soldering. Is there any way to check the power switch / caps without soldering?
