That's a new one (to me, at least).
Has it been modded in any way?
Not at all
Everything is completely original in it, no mods
well, the eliminates most of the usual power issues.
so, the next obvious one is did you clean the power switch?
because below the start and select buttons is the power switch, and they are notorious for getting crap in them. it could be that the crap in your power switch is just in the right place that when you push down like that, it somehow releases pressure on the switch and clears the power flow enough to read as full power, turning the light green.
I sadly don’t have a triwing screwdriver so I can’t open up the gameboy to clean it up
the next option, then, is to take the batteries out and get yourself some 90% or 99% isopropyl alcohol and drip some into that switch, and then move it back and forth over and over a lot.
this won't be as effective a taking it apart but might be enough to loosen up whatever is built up inside.
Could it be an issue with my everydrive?
it shouldn't be. it would go from green to red, not red to green. and that would be because your batteries aren't charged enough when it's loading data.
when the cart has to do more processing, it will draw more power, and that might set the low power light to red. but the other way doesn't make sense.
and you aren't pushing on the back of the shell or the cart itself, so that doesn't make sense either.
the only thing i can think of is power switch dirtiness. but until you can get it apart to check, your options might be limited.
the only other possible thing is it has been modded, but you were not aware of it, and something in that area has been altered enough to cause the issue. Again, without being able to take it apart, we can't say one way or the other.
K, thx for the help
