No way to get out of it without soldering the start and select wires? It was working just fine for a month until this just suddenly happened
i may hve mispoke, this may not be a menu, but occasionally these kits will fall into that mode. unfortunately you will need those button inputs to deactivate it

It’s a mode for the NES laminated screen, but your right you need to have SS soldered to fix it

Kinda weird for it to be the fallback, almost seems like it’s the default for some reason when the screen has issues
Try long-touching on your touch pad. iirc that may pull it out of that mode.
