electrical tape degrades and gets all sticky inside your console, we usually recommend Kepton tape
and trimming the cart slot pins that face the back of the screen/screen PCB
these (be careful cause they fly off when you cut them)
you don't remove anything, you just cut the excess in those pins, then you put some Kepton tape over them like this
you don't remove the pins completely is what I mean, just the excess, and it's not harmful, the pro modders do it all the time here to avoid shorts
Carrot is right, listen to Carrot
there was a video about it, I'm trying to find it but haven't yet
Think of it as giving the pins a little haircut

also check if your board is sitting right in the shell, if no wires are being pinched, stuff like that
Goldfinger tape, also known as polyimide tape, is a polyimide film used as a substrate to coat high-performance silicone pressure-sensitive adhesives on one side. I've attempted to sanitize your url: https://www.amazon.com/Resistant-Sublimation-Temperature-Electronics-Polyimide/dp/B07F8TZZ4N/ref=mp_s_a_1_5_sspa

I will literally Venmo you the $8 if you cannot afford this.
(Apologies for sharing Bezos crap here)
you can try it out with no tape, see if it still doesn't work assembled
then get the Kepton tape later if it works without it
You can also ease up on the screws a tiny bit—get them tight but maybe not suuuper tight
yeah
How do you think we know how to troubleshoot this? lol
if it works outside of the shell then there's something wrong with the way you assembled it, maybe a short, maybe something else, we're just trying to rule out problems
ok, then I think it's best to wait for someone else to give their opinion as well
that's with the motherboard screws?
