Might not be related, but you don't need the orange touch sensor -- the black flap is a touch sensor built into the ribbon

#

Other than that, it helps to tape the sensor against the top of the shell

dude, is your shell made of metal?

#

If that's what I think it is, being the GBC boxypixel machined aluminum GBC shell. The one which does not require you remove the LEDS from the top of the board.

BoxyPixel build the GBC pocket model with the touch sensor in mind and included some touch probes to be slotted in while soldering a wire to them.

#

The shell that you picked up is the boxypixel GBC machined shell without those touch probe cutouts... he clearly states in his description the following:

#

"Touch sensors can be tricky, so be prepared. I have had some luck using conductive copper tape with a wire soldered to it. I stick the copper tape to the inside of the lens without touching anything. You will notice a rectangular notch where the lens is installed. You can also drill a hole in the plastic piece at the top. Then, put a small fastener through, and solder a wire to the inside of the fastener."

#

So. what you will need to do is take that black lense that fits over those two LED's at the top of the board, and carefully drill a small hole into it. You need to order one of the fasteners from his website. And solder your wire to that fastener. That'll give you the best performance
