Modded a GBA with a custom IPS screen and it looks like this, can this be fixed or is it permanent

Those aren’t dead pixels. That’s a cracked LCD.

No, your only recourse is replacing the screen.

i know what i did wrong

i put the spacer on wrong which put a lot of stress on the screen

LCDs are cheaper than replacing the entire kit.
