#Overall bad beta experience

I played about 3 hours, but couldn't continue just due to the combination of all the following problems.
Disclaimer: I fully understand that most of them will be fixed/tweaked in full release and probably were already pointed out by someone else, but I just want to share about the BAD parts of current game state (to my opinion).

First of all, opening pause menu freezes game EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. And not like half a second, no, it's usually 2-4 seconds, but once reached whole 10. Opening inventory also causes to freeze, but in much smaller scale at least. Is it a RAM thing? The game itself doesn't really lag besides menus, I really can't see the reason for these freezes. Using SSD btw.

Secondly, dialogues. What made me want to close the game from the very beginning. The fact that it doesn't show dialogue options until few seconds after message appears is understandable, but the fact that you can "choose" option pressing space when it's not yet appeared isn't. It was so many times that I read message quite fast and press space just to see me choosing some random dialogue option I didn't have time to read.

Third, character menus (inventory, crafting, skills, etc.) for me personally were hard to navigate(?). Maybe it's just me, but I always couldn't find where is the new item I just picked, all icons were blending together or just hard to distinguish (don't remember correctly, played a few days ago).
Particularly, after playing tutorial, I started new game and placed skill set just like in tutorial, but when I couldn't use (probably due to wrong weapon), I went to skills menu and couldn't find it here, both before and after removing it from quickslot. Furthermore, in "per trainer" section there was a skill I didn't learn, only watched at. Not sure wether it's a bug or I just missed smth.

Fourth, animations and broken AI. NPCs walking endlessly into some obstacle, AI breaking midfight, or obstacles having no collision, which is, hopefully, just a beta thing.

Couldn't fit last topic due to 2000 character limit, so will place it here:

Lastly, some minor inconveniences.
Is the night sky supposed to look dusty? It's always dim, no matter graphics settings.
During character background creation there were some blue buttons under chosen traits on each step, but I couldn't press them due to GUI scaling (probably).
Loading between locations (aka "scenes" in UE) is quite long it terms of time, usually around 10 seconds. I suppose it's an UE optimisation thing and hope it'll be handled properly in full release.

For the freeze, I reduced the shadow quality and this fixed the freeze

I'll piggyback here, I absolutely agree about the icons. I also find them difficult to read, too small and they are all very bland (?), they don't seem very intuitive as of now.
Also the background colours of the icons, for me the red background implies that the weapon is broken.
The icons in Outward were nice, big and readable, this is one of the things that really didn't need any improvement in my opinion.

To add on the menu issue. For me everytime I'm just trying to see an item.
When highlight over them.

It will freeze for a visible 0.5 sec

Making it very unpleasant experience to navigate inventory

The Icon thing is so true, they need to be bigger, more colourful and more distinguishable again
