If you’re flying. I would suggest something more rugged, if you’re driving, then the original box, or a cart of some kinds to get it from parking lot / drop off point to byoc. Suit cases work for short distances and not a bad idea. I would just pack some stuff around it so that it doesn’t move around.

In 2018 for Austin I used a dolly. Would not recommend tbh.

When I used to bring my big tower I got one of these. Can get them from most sporting goods stores. Highly recommend this approach.

But basically anything that’ll keep it secure and won’t case it to bounce around too much is a good solution.

BYOC-Premium passes that include the $75 vouchers say they are valid at the Dreamhack store. They are not. Only the new merchandise side accepts the voucher and ONLY on the side wall stuff and one of the display cases on the lower shelf. You can for sure play with friends on the PCs. And i do not 100% remember there being a tourney bc I didn’t really pay attn to the tourneys. But there might be 🤷‍♀️

To be open about it, at Atlanta they weren't as well loved, I guess is the way to put it, as the Dallas, less buys etc.
Also looking at the offering and cost values it makes more sense to add a more unique ticket in that category as a merch voucher just felt 'flat'.

The chair rentals and monitor rentals came at a hefty cost which killed the tickets value. Chair rentals or monitor rentals may return down the line, but for now to make sure we're certain on things, we're putting out stuff we control easier. I'm sure if we had a massive warehouse with good chairs and good monitors we'd offer them again

Sorry i just saw this! But i liked having a middle ground where I could have some more luxuries like internet, table space and the chance to grab a comfier chair (bringing mine from home was a little hard and I have chronic pain that makes regular chairs hurt). While at the same time not breaking the bank to go full ultra.
The voucher was meh to me upon first glance but after going into the merch shop while at the con, i definitely felt like i couldve used it 😂. Regardless, I still enjoyed my time

Honestly kind of BS for someone like me that flys across the country to DreamHack. It’s already a pain in the ass to fly with a gaming pc but now I have to bring a monitor as well. I personally think it was overpriced already with the chair and monitor included. The price is more than double regular BYOC and now leaves them out… I’ve been to a lot of Dreamhacks and seems like it’s been going downhill since Covid. Just one more sign confirming that.

Idk if this’ll help anyone but for the last two years I’ve just bought a monitor from Best Buy and returned it after the event lol, may be able to do that with a chair if you have the patience but idk as that’s a whole different thing

Also since people are giving feedback, I’d like to jump on the wagon and say the two strict options of paying an ungodly amount for bigger table or just buying the cheap table tier is lame. My friends and I always bought premium for the sole fact of the table size, which feels like we’re forced to spend way more for a bigger table or go without it. Or maybe just buy two tickets? Hm 🤔
