I have been in contact with Dreamhack support via email, they haven’t answered back, and Blizzard support, whom said that codes like this are managed by the organising party.

Ultimately, we won't be able to tell you here that you can bring your bag/purse/wallet into the event. It will come down to the security staff at the entrance. We can only recommend you to not bring it because the risk of it being rejected is too great and you will have to leave it outside or not enter. For your sake, leave it at the place you are staying.

Just wanna say that I am majorly disappointed with DreamHack 2024 in Stockholm, it’s just a commercial yippo to earn maximum money. I went there with my kids and payd over 100 dollars to get in one day. We couldn’t even play one single game, we stood in both digital lines and physical lines it was to much ppl and basically nothing to do except watching screaming hosts on stage thinking we are stupid mob. DreamHack used to be an event for real gamers and has turned into a money machine.

Thanks for asking! Because it’s more an event for DreamHack to earn maximum income from sponsors and for the sponsors to show off their cool new gadgets. I mean, it’s not cheap tickets or a free event. The visitors should at least be able to get involved more in the scene and play some games not be exploited for buying tickets. And I know the lans still exists, but also very expensive and not the central part anymore. It’s typical rhetorical method to choose to ask why I made the “real gamers” line instead of focusing on my real issue here. But yeah, I didn’t say it wasnt real gamers here, I said it wasn’t for the gamers. More for sponsors.

Each to it's own I guess. I'm having a blast in the 20+ LAN. Yes of course there is stuff that could be improved, for example the '20+ Bar' is laughable imho and some of the timetables could be better (for example more tournaments during the night so you can visit the expo during the day), but apart from that I'm very satisfied. I think pricing is pretty much on point for the LAN ticket, can't speak for the day ticket. But then again this was a bucketlist thing for me, so didn't look that much at pricing.

Your issue with sponsors has not been an issue for me personally. I think that, without sponsors, it would be even more expensive to attend. They are sponsors for a reason, and I also think that they can show off their new gadgets to those who are interested. The sponsors and exhibitors have been on the website for a while, so if you've checked that beforehand you know what you're getting into. What would you have changed if you could decide?

Hello, I have the same issue that jack has faced. I purchased a single ticket for Friday and the seating add-on for friday. I also purchased a single ticket for sunday's finals. I have then received a mail from OWCS where I only received day 1 codes (for friday).

The announcement however claimed to get the extra codes with the purchase "of an OWCS seating add-on". Nowhere was it stated that it had to be the full weekend ticket to be eligible to receive those codes. I would like to know if I can get these codes that I feel I also purchased.

I am thrown in a endless loop without anyone taking responsibility.

Lowkey, I don't really care about the incentives. It just seems unfair that I spend a one day trip in Sweden, get on my plane, then pass out once I get home from jet lag. Yet they expect me to stay awake and just watch the stream.

You might have to buy an addon to the festival ticket like last year in order to secure a seat though, if that even happens
