What exactly isn't working as expected? And can you show the scene tree as well?

lapis magnet
#

well, the background is only supposed to fit to the tileset, but everything other than that (collectibles for example) is also massive

#

here is the scene tree

your camera's Zoom or project setting- window-stretch-scale?

lapis magnet
#

do you mean the window?

vapid plume
#

sorry for the language

lapis magnet
#

its ok, i'll look

#

scale is at 1

vapid plume
#

try to rise

lapis magnet
#

it didnt help much with the actual problem though

#

i think its got to do with the tileset? the tileset might have something with it

vapid plume
#

go to the zoom?

lapis magnet
#

that didnt help much either, heres what i actually mean

If the character is scaled correctly in relation to the tilemap, maybe everything else is the problem. Try to put the gui node a child of canvaslayer node.

seems only flag and key is correct

wanton lily
#

either the player and tilemap are wrong (assuming the player is scaled correctly in relation to the tilemap) or everything else is wrong

lapis magnet

after taking it out of gui parent node, the background is suddenly huge again but in the editor this time

Did you try to put it into a canvaslayer node?

lapis magnet
#

all the canvaslayer node did (assumingly) was put the background ontop of the tileset, leaving just a level with a forest ontop

#

it didnt help the scale size either*

like this

Resize the bg and zoom in camera
