@sinful crystal new post here ig

#

the gearshifts are just brass encased ones from create encased

#

i did this to reduce the mass cuz these ones are 100kg but regular ones are 1100kg

ikrrr

#

theyre really pretty too

Very nice

gives the wheels rotation

round lintel
#

interesting

mellow inlet
#

yuh

#

also i turned the system into a cool armored car with a booster and guns

void loom
#

This is very cool

if cars could strafe parallel parking would be so much easier

this is the schematic for the raw system
mods needed : vs2, create, create connected, drive by wire, tweaked controllers, trackwork, vmod
additional instructions : make sure to relink the controller to the tweaked hub (remove the controller from the lectern by shift+r-click, r-click on controller hub, r-click on lectern to place the controller back on it), break the backup block after youre done
controls :

  • WASD (left joystick) : forward/backward, turning
  • U/I (shoulder buttons) : strafing
how to install : put it in the vmod-schematics folder in .minecraft (if you dont have a vmod-schematics folder check whether you have installed vmod or not)

also there is a way to make this system a bit more compact (currently 5 blocks wide if you consider the wheels), tell me if i should do it cuz im not bothered to do it rn unless people want it for their builds

mellow inlet
#

it does look like A batmobile

#

not THE batmobile, but A batmobile

open basin
#

Yupppp

mellow inlet
#

also feel free to use this for your builds, just make sure to credit me when you post it somewhere if you want

void loom
#

It's basically the batmobile from Arkham knight

mellow inlet
#

sure lol

#

also hourglass figure

alr time for some beauty shots of this thing

why do the shaders mess with the cannon 😭

#

the twin autocannon is now a regular autocannon

lol

void loom

Lmao

unkempt warren
#

Dang, i may have to try to figure out how you did this! This looks awesome!

mellow inlet
#

:DDDD

#

dw i uploaded a schematic of the system

neon fulcrum
#

Hi fellow grass flower resource pack user

mellow inlet
mellow inlet
#

the various gearshifts and the wheels turning

#

if you want i can give an in-depth explanation

forest heron
#

i do

mellow inlet
#

uhh

#

its gonna be a bit hard to explain but ill try

#

one sec

#

ok so we have 2 kinetic batteries providing rotation (wheels dont consumes stress units so its basically free rotation, no refueling/creative stuff needed)

mellow inlet
#

they both go into their own 6-way vertical gearbox from create connected, which doubles their rpm cuz 6-way gearboxes have half speed on the side without the horizontal/vertical lines (btw you can make some pretty easy and compact gear ratios with it)

#

and the output is split into 2 for each

#

each output gets its own brass gearshift from create encased, i did this to reduce the mass cuz normal gearshifts are 1100kg but these ones are 100kg, it doesnt change the functionality so feel free to use normal ones

#

and then that goes into the wheels

#

rest is just drive by wire redstone magic

#

taking the front of the car as forwards,

#

to go forwards i powered both of the gearshifts on the right side

#

backwards is left ones

#

turning clockwise is no gearshifts powered

#

turning counterclockwise is all gearshifts powered

#

(the wheels turning while turning clock/anticlock isnt really necessary, but i did it so you can turn while moving forwards)

#

for crab walking/strafing, i power the top-right and bottom-left gearshifts and just turn the wheels in the opposite direction i wanna go

#

you can do top-left and bottom-right too but then you have to turn the wheels in the direction you wanna go, which doesnt look as aesthetically pleasing to me otherwise there is no difference

#

thats all

#

:D

forest heron
#

cool

#

this willl help me when on working make a porche 911 gtr replica

mellow inlet
#

hell yeah

#

i uploaded a schematic if you want a closer look

forest heron
mellow inlet
#

No, its a vmod schematic3dsmile

mellow inlet
mellow inlet
#

mkay, im playing ultrakill rn, will upload it later

mellow inlet
# forest heron I do

hey, sorry for the late response, i was out with friends all day today, working on making the create schematic rn

#

im really sorry for being so late T-T

forest heron
#

so dont sweat it

mellow inlet
#

:))))

mellow inlet
# forest heron nah its alright everyone has there own lives to tend to not others

hey dude i am so sorry but idk why for some reason the network backup block isnt saving connections when deshipified when thats its fucking purpose. for now you will have to use the vmod schematic ig, its not that hard tho and its frankly easier than a create schematic. i assume you will want to know how to import it so here it is. you download vmod latest version, and in your .minecraft folder you will have a special directory called vmod-schematics. just paste the file in there and you can access it in the toolgun menu by hitting tab and going to schematics. just load it and follow previous instructions ig. im once again really sorry, but it just isnt working out for some reason.

forest heron
#

its fine

#

i guess i have to install another mod thats all

opal adder
#

what's the block between the lectern and the gearbox in the front?

#

when i paste the schematic those blocks dont appear

open basin
opal adder
#

ah, my version of connected doesnt have that

timid escarp
#

what blocks r those in the middle

mellow inlet
#

those are kinetic batteries from create connected

#

i used them cuz trackwork tires dont take stress

#

so its basically infinite compact power

timid escarp
#

never knew that

#

thanks twin!
