#Probably the worst Eureka bug ever

Cannot begin to understand why this is happening. Eureka VS2 machines don't act properly on an Ubuntu-hosted server.

cannot determine if a specific mod is causing this, since as in the video the VS2 Debug ship works fine whereas Eureka does not. Please help! Can include server files if needed.

TLDR: Eureka does a whoopsy and causes player to be teleported around the world at lightspeed, sometimes thousands of blocks below bedrock

sure

pine siren
#

for the record, VS + eureka has no issues on my ubuntu desktop

#

I'm betting its a mod conflict

wheat lake
#

im betting too, checked the VS2 compat wiki but nothing specific

#

do you want more comprehensive

pine siren
#

that could maybe be the issue

wheat lake
#

ill test now

#

ill whitelist eureka specifically, is the proper tag eureka:*

pine siren
#

but you should turn it off completely

wheat lake
#

👍

pine siren
#

to make sure its working

wheat lake
#

alright

pine siren
#

before fiddling with the whitelist

wheat lake
#

nope, didnt fix it

#

recieving this error message

#

dont think x1 should be -28 million

pine siren
#

that tends to happen even when everything is fine and normal

wheat lake
#

oh cool

#

should i try disabling some sodium mods?

pine siren
#

wait

#

why do you

#

even have sodium

#

on the server

#

its a client side only mod thonk

#

also maybe remove the "toofast" mod, VS already stops the too fast complaints

wheat lake
#

..my friend sent me a "modlist" and it was all clientside mods, ill get them out

#

i trimmed most of them but i guess sodium slipped through

pine siren
#

embeddium is sodium btw

#

so remove it too

wheat lake
#

running now

#

didnt work

#

could it be my server's specs?

#

Probably the worst Valkyrien Skies Eureka bug ever

#

Probably the worst Eureka bug ever

pine siren
#

see if it happens with just VS, eureka, and kotlin for forge

wheat lake
#

tested that already. works fine so i'll keep disabling mods until it works

#

¯_(ツ)_/¯

pine siren

a binary search is more efficient

Binary Search

A binary search is a faster way to find an incompatibility between VS and your modpack, instead of testing mods one by one. How it works:

  1. Disable half your mods, except VS its addons and dependencies
  2. Test to see if the problem persists
  3. If the problem is gone, you know the conflict was in the disabled half. If not, its still in your current half
  4. Go back to step 1, except with only the half that has the incompatibility, and half the half

Continue until the problem goes away. You then should know what mod was the issue

If new problems arise while testing, its possible you've disabled a mods dependency but not the mod itself. You should try to disable dependency mods last (e.g. citadel, framework, etc.)

It’s also recommended to use a copy of your world, so you don’t accidentally delete modded data from it

wheat lake
#

alright, ill do that then

wheat lake

removing ad astra, Iron jetpacks and Immersive Engineering SOMEHOW fixed things. will check now on actual world

sorry to reply to an old post, but this has been happening to me too. have you figured out a solution?

#

nevermind, you're not in the server anymore lol

proud cedar
#

lmk if that is it

coarse halo

it's currently identical to what it was when the issue happened and just fixed itself
