According to Mojang's new version numbering, 26.x is the next major version. Rather than struggling with the code of 1.21.1, it's better to take a direct step and upgrade straight to 26.x

The (neo)forge version has dropped 1.20.1 support and will work only on 1.21.1 and fabric refuses to do 1.21.1 and continues on 1.20.1

There is create fly but that only supports 1.21.8 to 1.21.11 so too new

Its so good, in fact, that many fabric-only mods have decided to support it

1.20.1 is now 3 years old, even if they do drop support I agree they left on a good note.

Also downloads for Fabric API for 1.20.1 are ~7.2m, while 1.21.1 is ~11.9m.

People who play on fabric are primarily either just using client mods or running lightweight vanilla+ packs

ValkyrienSkies gets far more downloads on Forge because Forge is better suited for larger content-heavy packs

Yes that is very wrong what they said but basically the reason I said that is because with how your wording it your basically saying every neoforge dev believes that also I know this barely has anything to do with this but I’m learning Java and when I become good enough at it I will port every mod I can that it not on forge 1.20.1 to forge 1.20.1

If you like the mod and are taking suggestions you could try doing connectible chains for forge (the forge version lacks features compared to the fabric one for 1.20.1)

While the fabric one being broken with connector on 1.20.1

You don't have to it of course it's your precious time that you can spend however you want
