The Lost class is a general-purpose destroyer designed for fleet escort and individual ship operations.

The armament can be modified to suit the mission.
The armament can be converted to the Mark 22, Type 26 air-mine launchers, and other armaments of the same standard.

It is a destroyer that can be mass-produced, and seven ships were ordered in the initial order.

Since it is expected to be used in a mixed fleet with future ship-to-ship fleet escort destroyers and ship-to-air fleet escort destroyers as well as in fleet operations, more are likely to be ordered.
