is java on nintnendo
no
yes
ok thanks
No its not, the switch (assuming this is the nintendo console you are talking about) uses minecraft bedrock
then why do i hhave java
Does your main menu look like A or B or maybe C (which was discontinued a while ago)
anyway even if you do somehow have Java on Nintendo, there’s no easy way to mod stuff on a switch
More like how
Imagine they have minecraft java on the nintendo 3ds
no
even if you installed java on your nintendo switch, you will probably still have library issues
like people who try to run VS on phones
Lowkey every time I see someone ask if a mod is on pocket edition, I die little more inside
Like sure they’re like 5 they don’t know the difference between Java and bedrock but it still hurts
I mean
Meh
I don't like bugrock edition, even the thing it does best (optimizing) its not doing it great
And the fact that mojang/microsoft try to promote this version, even tho they often use java for promotions and stuff is just cringe at this point
but I guess it cost less to add more slop to the bedrock market than actually solving the bugs that plagues bedrock edition
People just being clueless about it and the java edition is a consequence of that, we can't expect everyone to have technical knowledge about the game
Java hardcore: nooo baby zombie
Bedrock hardcore: god… didn’t like me?
I honestly just think bedrock is kinda sad
Like it’s clearly Microsoft’s priority and with all the micro purchases, but I honestly think Java is more aligned to the vision of Minecraft
Yeahhh sometimes theses bugs are wild
It just feels like a randomizer, where the game decides that you have played enough and tries to find a random thing to make you die
And my personal opinion is that mojang still has some control over Java, but bedrock is basically just controlled by Microsoft
It is, and it always was
And Java could be so much better if they put as much effort into it
At least they are still providing cool stuff for java, and not completely abandoning it so its great
I agree
It do feel like that
Yeah like the new component changes, while being annoying to update to, are gonna revolutionise datapacks in the future
Just unfortunate the Java code is so old that it’s hard to improve
That is also true
Plus Java has its limits
(Or that they don’t have enough time/resources to do so)
And old ass OpenGL does not help either
Imagine if we could have true ray tracing in Minecraft Java, and not the post processing stuff that "rtx shaders" do
that would be insane
And of course low end computers would benefit from it too, because modern APIs like Vulkan or D3D12 are so much more adapted
for modern GPUs
Also the Minecraft community loves to complain about updates, but in comparison to like every other AAA game out there, Minecraft’s entirely free updates atleast once a year are kinda crazy, no matter how boring or unnecessary they are
Yeah that would be insnae
Honestly I don't complain about the updates, exactly because of that lol
we get free updates, and even if there is not a lot of new stuff content wise there is often cool things happening on the technical side
Just buy a PC lol
Honestly we really take free content updates for granted lol
Like a lot of other AAA games will only release required updates for fixing bugs or stuff
