By placing 9 balloons in a crafting grid the lift gets multiplied by 9. For the thruster part is like a thruster that can be made with diamonds and iron blocks and that goes realy fast .It should also be able to take coal and any burnable thing as fuel or that you can place a block on a shaft to transfer the power to the thruster (linkable with wrench). It should also have an interface to control the speed. Mayby something that you can link to the thruster to control the thrust from another place (you can link multiple thrusters to the same block with wrench to control the thrust).
