Something like a redstone link, but you can wrench it to modify the maximum distance, this could be usefull for protecting your vehicle controls like the cwadditions wanderlite thing, but still being able to trigger them with a hand controller if you are near enough. And also for a bit of automation like putting a medium strenght output link in your farms or base and one in your plane next to a resistor, so everytime you fly over your house, the plane is a bit slower so you can take a look of your farms.
Or make a patrol robot go fordwards till it reach a link radius and triggers a sequenced gearshift to make it turn a bit 
i would love to make more blockbench models and specially for things like this
