Studied your machinery and created another variant of walker. Though It functions only via 1 press of a button while sloth requires 3. It can climb 1 block high slopes just needs some time and goes faster than player running. I don’t really know how projects work here, so maybe this counts as another creation that’s not related to the sloth, even if it was based on it

btw the sloth only has forward movement atm and a toggle that sends the signal back everytime the step ends, so 2 signals

Actually before “Horse” I built the sloth via your video, I didn’t build the whole automatic walking but used a controller. I said 3 because there were practically 3 actions it could do.

1st - raise left front leg and right back leg
2nd - change positions
3rd - raise right front leg and left back leg yadayadayada

Because I did it with a controller I could do some fun stuff, for example jump by pressing and releasing 1st and 3rd buttons, and also go in reverse just by doing the buttons in reverse

I’ll work on that today, I would need to rebuild the whole thing from the start because it collapsed on itself. And I’m not talking about it every time breaking limbs when I logged off and on, but due to some experiments the physics bearings just broke.

I came up with 2 upgrades : 1st is placing a block in front of an ankle so It could create additional force for the leg aside from the stabilizer. You can see in my video that the legs when step kinda lean forward and due to that deliver not as much force as they could. But by adding block this problem get fixed (And Idk why when the leg bends it just clips though the block even though they should’ve collided). 2nd upgrade is, well, not even an upgrade, just pumping up the rpm so the steps become quicker and stronger. Also , before I used 4 layers of the copycat thingy, but with 3 layers it became easier to go up the slopes, because leg got lifted not by 1 block but 1.5, I tried with 2 layers but it didn’t have the same effect, stayed at 1.5 block height.

honestly I cant see any clipping through blocks

I used gearboxes to change the direction of rotation instead of clutches btw, this way it has force when standing still

I also heard that Vmod can be used to copy paste a assembled leg onto the the already assembled body which would be much more convenient but Idk how to do that yet

When I was playing around with sloth it happened like every minute or so, because the legs weren’t resting but constantly moving, so just imagine 2 physics objects colliding every second. The legs were clipping though those vertical slab barriers so sometimes they touched themselves

For some reason, it worked with the horse but in more positive way, the block in front of an ankle was doing the barrier job when needed and didn’t when the leg was bending
