Around the time the flinging happens the log gets spammed by this:
[21:06:27] [Server thread/ERROR]:
java.lang.Exception: Collision box is too big! AABB[-2.8669945625E7, 79.22500000298024, 303.03660751183975] -> [-58.246513036974704, 177.13550507090986, 1.2290052625E7] returning empty list! this might break things
like about 10 times in a row then it stops

In case I'm doing something wrong during the assembly I'd appreciate some pointers and maybe a better tutorial because everything I've seen doesnt mention anything besides not gluing flaps before assembly

oh

#

lmao

Also you do not need to have the physic infuser in the ship, even tho I doubt that's the cause of your problem

thin pivot
#

(i was testing with dh+iris earlier but i disabled them for this test)

rich remnant
#

well

#

idk what is happening

thin pivot
#

i'll try assembling in other ways

#

ill get eureka and try to do it with a ship helm

#

uhh okay no that didnt help

rich remnant
thin pivot
#

i dont think so

#

thats a new modpack profile i just dragged the jar files over from another one

#

so should be default configs generated

#

I'm trying to think, would using ZGC and java 21 cause this

#

thats the only thing I have that's not exactly your standard thing

rich remnant
thin pivot
#

no

rich remnant
#

actually no idea then

#

although

thin pivot
#

4080 ryzen 9 7900x

rich remnant
#

how much ram did you allocate to mc?

#

and how much total ram?

thin pivot
#

8gb with zgc

#

out of 32

rich remnant
#

no idea what zgc is

thin pivot
#

zgc is a better gc for java

fringe torrent
#

idk if zgc is compatible

#

i don't think that'll work

thin pivot
#

its just something you change in your java arguments in the launcher

fringe torrent
#

hmmmm

thin pivot
#

but I'll try with java 1.17 and the default gc

fringe torrent
#

nvm, read the issue

#

not that

thin pivot
#

changing java version and jvm args didnt work either

fringe torrent
#

yeahh

thin pivot
#

okay now im out of ideas

fringe torrent
#

it's just vs being silly bobably

rich remnant
#

like

#

assemble a block of dirt or smth

thin pivot
#

Oh yeah if I assemble just one block and then build a plane on that from the ground up it works perfectly fine

#

until I rejoin and then it does this same thing

#

im leaning into the flaps being glitchy probably

#

i've removed the propeller bearing and all creative motors and it still flung

#

i was suspecting the propeller bearing

#

NVM

#

i assembled 2 wooden planks and it flung

#

gonna make a new world

#

okay interesting 2 wooden planks dont get flung in new world

rich remnant
#

damn

thin pivot
#

it almost had me for a second there with that graceful fall

fringe torrent
thin pivot
#

ill try removing the flaps

#

am i even supposed to be using flaps?

#

theres a wing item and flap and they look the same

#

and then theres also windmill sails

#

what am i supposed to use

#

windmill sail works for propeller

#

ok i removed all of the flaps and it seems to behave well now

rotund lodge
#

Well the plane looks correct as far as I know, this seems to be an issue with wings physics

thin pivot
#

yeah the design flies well if I build it onto an already assembled block

#

but if I rejoin then it has this behavior

#

plus if I assemble it when its already made then it has this behavior too

#

ok well if i use the wing block with flap bearings then it doesnt seem to do anything

#

wings for propeller also dont provide any thurst

#

is anyone able to reproduce this issue? It's just fabric 1.20.1 with latest VS2+Clockwork plus their dependencies

rich remnant
#

i've never heard of such issue

#

so

#

¯_(ツ)_/¯

thin pivot
#

well nobody uses fabric

#

if i search the 1.20 fabric clockwork tags its like all crash logs plus like 3 threads of similar issues

#

but with not enough info provided

#

Well anyways if anyone happens to have this issue in the future and there's no fix then:
-Build your ship
-Remove all flaps
-Make it into a schematic now
-(Continue from here)
-Assemble ship, I guess any method works
-add your flaps, glue your flaps, should work now until you rejoin
-if you rejoin, run as far as you can before it flings you into the void
-Place down schematic again
-Repeat from (Continue from here)

thin pivot
#

Did another test and now it works

#

I have no idea whats going on

#

i changed nothing just went to sleep woke up tried it again now i can assemble planes properly and it doesnt break when i rejoin either

#

now i do say that but that cant be the case so i'll try to remember what could've changed

#

I made a new superflat world and thats where it worked, I went back to my other worlds from yesterday and it still has the weird behavior there.

thin pivot
#

on any new random default worldgen world the planes break, on superflat they work for some reason

#

*flaps

#

ive confirmed its flaps that cause the issue

fringe torrent
thin pivot
#

well I am using the newest one
