because of this, if someone were to go from one half of your vision to the other quickly, you would have to rotate your camera all the way around then look down

also, if you were to make a multiblock fuel tank, it'll take up part of your fuselage such that you have to connect things (like shafts) all the way around said tank instead of just above or below it if it were to be horizontal compared to the rest of the plane

so while you do have the advantage of being able to place fuel tanks long-ways and get more fuel capacity, you now gotta connect all the pipes together from different sources to reach where you want

which can be considered a benefit, as it provides redundancy, but can also be considered a detriment, as you will likely have to put the pipes outside of the main fuselage, but considering the existence of AP autocannons, yeah
