#Compasses on ships, and proper orientation handling while seated on a ship

It would be quite useful for navigation if the player’s direction was roughly the same as where they are looking, meaning compasses are correct, and minimap directions would be handled correctly.
This would also mean that you could leave a chair and be placed facing the correct orientation, and when turning ships, means that you don’t have to exit a helm to check your direction.

Additionally, it would be fantastic if compasses in item frames could rotate based on the ship’s position and direction, allowing them to be used for navigation rooms in a vessel.

yeah.
I’m pretty sure vanilla compasses don’t actually move on ships, but I like the idea of a nav compass

Also, perhaps there is something that lets you display a map next to it

I mean.. placing them in item frames should do the trick for a navigation table
